A gentle reminder about the assessments that will take place next week: Dulce Elementary School: iMSSA April 9-12 (3rd & 5th grade ONLY Dulce Middle School: iMSSA April 9-12 (6th, 7th & 8th grade) Dulce High School: SAT School Day (Student Selection per NMPED-these students have been notified) The SAT School Day assessment event is a required assessment event; students are required to take the SAT in order to graduate from high school. Please contact the counselor @ DHS for mor information about graduation requirements. Please see the DISD Student Performance News (under departments) for a complete assessment schedule.

Dulce High School will be on virtual learning tomorrow, Friday, February 23, 2024 for electrical repairs. There is going to be a soccer clinic for youths ages 6-12 hosted by Javier Vigil of Northern NM Recreation and Outdoor Conservation Foundation. Our own New Mexico United professional soccer team will be showing kids the ins and outs of youth soccer. This will take place at Escalante H.S. football field on December 1, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00pm. IT IS FREE!!! Congratulations to the Dulce Hawks Football team for the senior night win last night 52-6. This win puts Dulce at 4-4 on the season so far. The last time Dulce has won more then 3 games was during the 2011-2012 football season. Congrats to all the seniors Issak Reval, James Johnson, August Tafoya, Ellion Reval, Hunter Vicenti, and Aljae Dixon! Go Hawks!

Good Morning. DISD schools will have an early release time today, September 13, 2023. Pre-K and Elementary will release at 12:30 pm. Middle School and High School will release at 12:45 pm. Also, September 14 is a Place Based Learning day. Students can sign in at the Go-Jii-Ya grounds to mark their attendance. If your family does not camp out or will not be at the Go-Jii-Ya grounds on September 14, students must notify teachers so they can receive a work packet to turn in on Monday, September 18. Finally, there will be no school on Friday, September 15. Please be safe and enjoy time with your family. Thank you.

DULCE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT AUGUST 23, 2023 IMPORTANT! The Dulce Independent School District has two School Board positions that are up for election on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. The positions are Position 1 and Position 3. Both positions are for a term of four (4) years. Individuals who may be interested in becoming a candidate for these positions may log on to the Rio Arriba County Clerk’s Website for more information. As a courtesy, the Dulce Schools Superintendent’s Office has information to assist with this process. You may pick this information up at the Superintendent’s office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today. The only day to file applications for School Board candidacy is today, Tuesday, August 29, 2023. You must file your application at the Rio Arriba County Clerk’s Office in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. Applications to place names on the November 7, 2023, ballot for Dulce Independent School Board elections for Position 1 and Position 3, will only be accepted between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 29, 2023, at the County Clerk’s office.
