Group of Students

The Dulce High School Fashion Design & Etiquette class made a special visit to the Santa Fe Symphony on May 7, 2023. The class studies appropriate etiquette and behavior in various settings. They learn about appropriate attire for various settings, as well as dining manners and etiquette. They have learned to sew small projects and will be moving into their final projects of self-designed ribbon shirts and ribbon skirts. The students were treated to a fancy dinner at La Fonda on the Plaza where they were able to practice their dining etiquette. The gentlemen wore tuxes, and the young ladies wore evening attire.

The students were surprised that music could have such a profound feeling. The Symphony was themed: Fate and Finale and was the final performance of the season. The featured musician was cellist Zlatomir Fung. The students were able to meet the cellist and the conductor, Guillermo Figueroa after the performance. Everyone surrounding our group was highly impressed with our students and their excitement regarding the evening’s performance. DHS hopes to incorporate more of these experiences for our students.

DHS students in attendance: Katie-Lynn Ayzie, Aaryonna Vigil, Hannaa Lucero and Braydyn Tafoya. Adult sponsors/teachers: Mr. Terry Oguin, Mr. Christopher Tsosie-Herbster, Dr. Marcella Talamante and Ms. Vicenti.
