• Welcome to Dulce High School Manuel Valdez

My name is Manuel Valdez. I have been a principal at Dulce High School for the past 7 years. I have been in Education for 42 years. During that time, I have held most of the positions in public education to include but not limited to teacher, principal at all levels, and Superintendent of Schools. I have New Mexico Licenses in both Elementary and Secondary teaching and an Education Specialist in School Administration with TESOL endorsement.

As the new school year begins, I’d like to look back and thank the class of 2018, teachers, staff and all members of our school community for supporting our students and helping to make the past school year successful for all stake holders.  I am looking forward to the 2018-19 school year. We have a hard working, dedicated and caring staff that takes great pride in providing our students with multiple opportunities to learn and be successful.

The mission of Dulce High School is to create a safe and quality learning environment focused on the unique learning needs and goals of our students. We continually strive to provide our students with vigorous classroom instruction focused on higher level depth of knowledge thinking skills which is relevant to the unique learning needs of each individual student.

Looking beyond Dulce High School, our students must be prepared for the rigors of post-secondary education and/or possess the skills necessary for success in the work place. To help prepare our students for life beyond DHS, we administer all district and state mandated tests. In addition, we offer dual credit classes through San Juan College.

We at DHS encourage parents, guardians, community members and others to become part of the education process of our school system, so come out and visit our school and join us for our Athletic Activities throughout the school year.
